FOR THE ARTISTS/PHOTOGRAPHERS/ENTRANTS: Registration Required.
This contest is open to anyone with a cell phone, with a few rules to follow:
Must be taken with a cell phone. Must be your own original picture. You cannot use any outside editing program (only what your cell phone came equipped with.) Pictures must be presented to The Gallery Downtown printed, matted and framed with your information on THE BACK. Pieces will be displayed with only a number for voting, name of entrant SHOULD NOT be visible on the front of entry. Printed picture must be 8x10, matte can be no larger than 11x14 any color, framing style and color choice is up to artist. There are no categories, any subject accepted (NO NUDITY). This is a winner take all, popular vote. In the event of a tie, an unnamed judge will be appointed. The cash prize will be based on number of entrants. (Maximum amount of entrants will be set at 100) The total cost to enter is $25. You can enter up to 3 pieces. Pieces would need to be delivered for hanging between November 12-18 by mail or in person, NO EXCEPTIONS. Voting begins on Friday, Novemer 20th at 6pm online and in person Saturday, November 21st. A small brunch reception will be held to announce the winner and present award on Sunday, November 22nd. You are not required to attend, although if you are in the running we would appreciate your attendance.
If you wish to participate, YOU MUST register for this event, upon registration an invoice for entry will be sent to you.
FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC: This show will be exhibited from November 20-22, in the main gallery space with specific viewing/voting times. Please follow the Facebook event for up to the minute info on those times. And make plans to join us for the reception. We NEED you to VOTE!! Due to COVID we will be allowing online viewing and voting. Please stay tuned to the Facebook event on how to do that!
